We need 1-2 business days for processing most orders, for more specific time frames please see item descriptions and the below policies. Orders placed after 8:00 pm MST will be submitted for processing the next day.
Standard shipping for orders totalling $35 and up is free! Shipping cost is calculated by weight, with cost of shipping extra perishable items like cuttings and live potted plants adjusted individually. At this time expedited shipping is unavailable, as well as shipping outside the contiguous United States. We use UPS as our preferred shipping provider, but may use USPS or FedEx.

Custom orders take from 5-14 days to process and ship out, item descriptions list specific time frames needed.
We offer standard shipping on most items that usually takes 2-5 days.
We will keep you informed of your order's shipping via email and optionally text message. We also track our orders to ensure they arrive on time and without incident.

Live Plant Special Policies:
- We ship out our live plants and live plant material Mondays and Tuesdays only to minimize their chance of being damaged or killed from sitting in a potentially adverse environment over the weekend.
- Orders containing live plants and live plant materials will ship out the next week following ordering, with the cutoff on Sundays.
- Shipping around postal holidays and other special circumstance is considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Before we ship live plant orders we check the weather forecast for the delivery area to ensure your order is safe to ship. If we feel the weather is going to be too bad to ship your order in the timeframe given at checkout we will contact you as soon as possible with your rescheduled shipping date.
- Fragile cold intolerant plants and plant materials will be shipped with a warming pack when the temperature is going to be 19° F or below at no extra cost to ensure they arrive alive.

How We Prepare Our Potted Plants for Shipping
• Our shipped perennial plant growth program starts at planting where we use special potting soil complete with mycorrhizal fungi to assist in root growth for a bigger, better root system to stand up to the stress of shipping.
• We plant in small, light containers that are better for shipping. Our plant/pot sizes are always in the listings.
• All of our plants are proven growers with months to years of carefully cultivated root systems and foliage.
• We care for the plants in such a way that the plants’ energy focuses on growing their roots.
• We regularly fertilize with our all-natural Bunny Beans fertilizer.
• Prior to packing, we prune back some of the foliage to minimize shipping damage and shock. We do not prune off so much as to be detrimental to the plant, and in fact most plants respond to this pruning with bushier future growth!
• We prepare your order by ensuring all plants are cleaned and well-labeled, trimming off any foliage needed.
• We package live plants with a collar of damp clean paper around the base of the plant to protect and hold in the soil and fertilizer. We then secure plastic around the container to protect and hold in the bottom portion of the plant and soil. Following that, we wrap some protective paper or cardboard around the whole of or top of the plant to protect the foliage as well as possible from a potentially rough trip.
• We then well secure your precious plants in their shipping boxes and finish padding and packing them up.
• Your plants will arrive healthy (if not please contact us asap!) and ready to settle into their new home and explode with beautiful, full growth and provide you with exceptional performance for years to come!

The Flower Fiend Policies on Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Due to the perishable nature of the all-natural fertilizer, live plants, flowers, and live plant materials such as bulbs and cuttings, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on these items unless they arrive damaged or defective.
We cannot return or exchange custom-made items unless they arrive damaged or defective.
As part of our continuing dedication to our customers’ delight and satisfaction whenever a package from The Flower Fiend is opened, as well as the health and well-being of the precious plants we ship out, we have outlined what you can expect from us and what you should do in the event your order arrives damaged or deceased. We only pack and ship healthy plants with robust root systems grown for shipping and we use the most thorough and secure packaging available. We watch the weather and only ship when orders will be able to have the best chance at a safe trip. We have found UPS to be the most dependable shipping provider for our live plant orders and we trust UPS to quickly and carefully transport your live plant order to arrive on time at your door in the pristine and healthy state it was packed in. Once we turn your order over to UPS it is literally out of our hands and our control.
It is normal for plants to arrive with some minor damage, broken foliage, paleness, a bit of wilting, or other minor stress signs… plants are not naturally meant to travel across the country in fluctuating temperatures starved of light for days. Your plants were grown for shipping and will rebound quickly with the proper environment and care. Sometimes shipping goes awry and a live plant order arrives with major damage or death (including temperature damage, physical abuse, mishandling, crushing, etc.) UPS, as well as anyone who has ever had anything shipped, understands that shipping damage can and does sometimes occur and it is covered by UPS’s guarantee. If you would like to file a claim for a refund, contact UPS directly, and if you would like a replacement contact The Flower Fiend additionally. In most cases you as the customer are best able to file your claim with UPS, as you have the damaged order in-hand. We recommend the package and damage or death be thoroughly documented immediately and photographically as well as retained for your claim.
We will not accept returns or exchanges of items that have been used.
The Flower Fiend happily accepts returns and exchanges of non-perishable, non-customized, and unused items within the following parameters:
- We must be contacted within 3 days (72 hours) of order receipt.
- The order must be shipped back to us within 7 days (168 hours) of order receipt and customer covers shipping costs for return shipping and shipping the new item(s).
- Once the order to be returned or exchanged is received by The Flower Fiend, it will take 2-7 business days to receive the refund or new item(s).
The Flower Fiend accepts order cancellations within 2 hours of ordering. We absolutely cannot accept cancellations once the order has processed.
The Flower Fiend can be contacted via email at customer.service@theflowerfiend.com, through the form on our website contact page, or through Etsy messaging for all return, exchange, refund, replacement, and cancellation inquiries.
We cannot guarantee live plants and live plant materials against failure or death due to customer neglect, misuse, abuse, failure to follow instructions, damage or death after delivery, misdelivery, or theft after delivery. Customers who order live plants and live plant material are expected to retrieve and inspect the items within 24 hours of delivery, less in inclimate weather and extreme temperatures. We may at our discretion or upon request require a signature on delivery to ensure your plants are delivered directly into someone's hands to ensure their safety.
