Aloe vera var. chinensis Plants and Pups
Aloe vera is an amazing easy-care houseplant that has been grown for its fantastic qualities for centuries, including medicinal and ornamental. Aloe vera v. chinensis is also known as true aloe or medicinal aloe. Aloe vera originates from the arid regions of Africa and the Middle East. It is considered an evergreen perennial and can live up to 25 years in the proper environment. Aloe vera is commonly used for skin burns, and is also said to be good for gastrointestinal issues and even acne! Aloe vera juice is incredibly moisturizing, and is used in hair and skin care products to great affect for very shiny soft hair and soft skin! The internet is full of excellent DIY recipes for lotions and conditioners featuring aloe vera. Aloe vera is also considered an indoor air filter plant, and looks neat to boot! Aloe vera is one of Nature's most useful plants in my opinion!
Aloe vera is a super easy plant to care for, and only needs to be watered about twice a month. It grows and thrives in a range of light, so can be put almost anywhere in the house. It is also fairly tough physically, and stands up to some abuse and falls pretty darn well. This is a plant that even black thumbs can grow! My mother is an infamous serial plant killer, and her Aloe vera plant is thriving. This is a great beginner's plant to teach children about gardening and caring for living things!
This particular Aloe vera variety is small with white spots, I believe it is Aloe vera v. chinensis. The chinensis Aloe vera variety only gets up to 18 inches tall, and retains the white spots into adulthood.
This is a plant and product difficultyLevel 0 - Black Thumb, super easy care and actually difficult to kill.
All of our plants and flowers are grown in idyllic Livingston, Montana and are certified Grown in Montana™.
